You are invited to attend our 2010 Winter Training Conference that will be held at the Omni Hotel
at CNN Center, which is located in the heart of Atlanta and Centennial Olympic Park. The Winter Training Conference is a wonderful opportunity for you to network with other members while receiving valuable training.
At this conference, there will be fourteen (14) hours of mandatory conference training. Training topics include:
- National Suspicious Activity Report
- Rapid ID Project
- Battlefield to Badge: Transitioning Returning Veterans to Civilian Police Forces
- Traffic Safety Management in Georgia
- Character and Cops
Exhibitors dedicated to enhancing law enforcement will be participating at this year's conference, providing the latest police equipment, services, technology and publications. We encourage you to take time to stop by their booths, but more importantly, we ask that you keep them in mind when making decisions to purchase equipment for your department.
- Complimentary valet parking is available at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center for overnight GACP guests. Parking passes for GACP attendees not staying overnight will be provided for the Georgia World Congress Center Green Lot (directly behind the Omni Hotel at CNN Center) once your registration form is received.
- An enhanced reception with the Georgia Legislators will take place on Monday, January 24th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Atrium Terrace in the South Tower of the Omni Hotel. GACP President, Stacey Cotton, strongly encourages you to attend this very important event. An excellent variety of food will be offered to all members who attend.
- Two hours of the mandatory training will be provided on Tuesday, January 25th, immediately following the business meeting.
- All training will take place at the Grand Ballroom in the North Tower - M4. Details will be in your Conference Program.
