Description

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicant must have Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.  Applicant must have at least three years of full-time, paid, teaching/work experience in law enforcement or a closely related field within the past seven years.  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Teaching experience at the postsecondary level; active participation in appropriate professional/occupational organizations; excellent human relations skills; computer skills and experience.  Experience with online instruction (Angel).  POST Instructor certification preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsible for teaching courses in the Criminal Justice program (possibly at multiple campuses/centers).  Also, responsible for related academic duties, including but not limited to:  developing course materials; updating curriculum to ensure adherence to institutional and TCSG standards as well as accrediting agency requirements; providing advisement, recruitment, and retention services. Other duties as assigned

SALARY/BENEFITS:  Salary commensurate with education and work experience.  Benefits include paid state holidays, paid annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.

SPECIAL NOTE:       The candidate select for this position must successfully complete a criminal background investigation and motor vehicle screening.
