Office of Public Safety. The Business Operations Manager serves as the Certification Manager and Evidence and Property Custodian for the Division of Public Safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Handles all matters associated with obtaining and maintaining State Certification through the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police including completing all application paperwork and maintaining all documents and files relating to certification.
- Assists in maintaining current Department policies due to changes in law and accepted police procedures.
- Prepares annual reports, analysis of related and required police activity and responds with documentation to be filed with State for certification.
- Serves as Evidence and Property Custodian, managing all aspects of the departmental Evidence and Property rooms.

Bachelor’s Degree; three or more years or related work experience; effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of urinalysis and background investigation prior to employment.
Three or more years of police work related experience; supervisory experience; current State Certification Manager and Assessor training or the ability to obtain such training.
$17.74 - $18.26 per hour
