District 2 Meeting
Oct 18 @ 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

A Word from Chief Mark Scott:

A suggestion was made at our September meeting that we try moving our meetings to different locations in the district.  We had limited success when we tried changing locations each month, so let’s try going on the road once a quarter and see how it goes.  We are going to host the October meeting here in Americus on the campus of Georgia Southwestern State University.  We will meet in the faculty dining room in the rear of the dining hall in the Marshall Student Center.  A map of the campus is attached.  The main entrance to campus is via Glessner Street.  Turn right on GSW Drive and follow it around to the Southwestern Oaks II Dormitory parking lot.  There will be plenty of parking there and limited parking in the smaller lot between the dorm and the public safety building.  If you enter the student center at the doors marked on the map, you will be at the dining hall.  Pay the cashier if you want to have lunch and come on back to the faculty dining room in the rear of the dining hall.  They have a hot food line, salad bar, pizza and burger bar, and a custom sandwich bar from which you can choose and the food is quite good.  Brett Murray from the SGTC Police Academy will present training for us.  Hope to see you here in Americus.  Bring some ideas for a family Christmas get-together.

**Training Topic:  Mental Health Issues and Upcoming Mental Health First Aid and CIT classes in Americus
