The Georgia Burglar and Fire Alarm Association,
an official Chartered State Association of the
National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association, is
pleased to announce the availability of
scholarship awards to sons and daughters
of active-duty police and fire personnel
through the Shorty N. Cogland Memorial
Scholarship Fund.
The Scholarship awards in the amount of $1,500 for first prize, $1,000 for second prize and $500 for third prize are available to qualified high school seniors. The rules for eligibility are contained in this mailing. The NBFAA has more than 3,500 members and the Georgia Burglar and Fire Alarm Association has 225 members in our state. Our members are companies that sell, design, install, maintain and monitor electronic burglar and fire alarm systems. This scholarship award is a small way for our industry to say thanks to our very dedicated public safety community, and to help pay for an advanced education.

Another exciting part of this scholarship is that the two winners from our state are eligible for the nation scholarship awards totaling $10,000. We are happy to provide this opportunity to deserving students.
